CITAB Stakeholders Day

On June 19th, the "CITAB Stakeholders Day" took place at the Geosciences Auditorium of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD). This event was organized within the scope of the Research Center for Agro-Environmental and Biological Technologies. The main objective of the event was to foster closer collaboration between academia and end-users of science, as well as between researchers and entrepreneurs. It is intended to be an annual event that is fundamental for the definition of common research strategies, technological development, and innovation, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the effective creation of added value for various socioeconomic sectors, particularly agricultural value chains. The event was attended by a panel of distinguished figures from the Portuguese business and associative sector such as ADVID, ANPROMIS, SONAE ARAUCO, PORTUGAL FRESH, GREENLAB, Laboratório de Paisagem and CITEVE. The panel discussion was moderated by journalist Teresa Silveira (Jornal Público). There was also participation from the four members of CITAB's international external advisory panel. All the contributions received will now be incorporated into the new Strategic Program of the Center, which aims to achieve an "Excellent" rating in the upcoming evaluation exercise by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology).
