Clim4Vitis Days

Three events promoted by the H2020 project Clim4Vitis - Climate change impact mitigation for European viticulture, from 22 to 25 November 2021(free participation).
The Clim4Vitis Open Day will be held on the 22nd of November 2021 at UTAD, Vila Real, Portugal. In this event, wine companies and scientists will share knowledge and outline some of the most important challenges that the viticultural & winemaking sector is facing and will have to respond to during the next few decades, particularly those driven by changing climates and weather extremes. To enrich this discussion, world-renowned scientists were invited. The participation of European and Portuguese agencies will also provide some insights into future funding opportunities to warrant the sustainability of this line of research. This event will be live-streamed in order to warrant more effective dissemination, also taking into account some likely limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. On the 23rd of November, an International Workshop at UTAD will also be organized by the Clim4Vitis consortium, which will present some relevant scientific results from the research conducted by the different partner units within the framework of Clim4Vitis. This workshop will be followed by an open debate. The whole event will also be live-streamed. A short course on climate change adaptation for European viticulture will be organized on the 25th of November at UTAD, devoted to students, researchers, technicians and farmers.
