This year's edition will focus on the application of numerical weather prediction to renewable energy systems, covering not only wind and solar power generation but also hydropower and ocean energy, including waves, tides, and currents.
The programme will also address a range of topics related to numerical weather prediction, including the use of observations, model validation, high-resolution modelling, ensembles, uncertainty quantification, the prediction of extreme events, and the application of artificial intelligence.
Researchers, professionals, students, and early-career scientists are invited to participate in the workshop and submit their work.
The event aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and foster discussion on recent advances and emerging challenges in numerical weather prediction and its applications to the renewable energy sector.
The deadline for abstract submission and registration is 30 September 2026.
