Ana Cristina Oliveira Afonso has been honoured as part of the IACOBUS Papers Program.

This initiative supports the publication of high-quality scientific articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and promotes cross-border research collaboration between universities and polytechnic institutes in the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion. 

"This distinction highlights the importance of fostering cross-border scientific collaboration and supporting the dissemination of high-quality research in internationally recognised journals. Being selected for the IACOBUS Papers Program reinforces the visibility and impact of the work carried out," states Maria José Saavedra, co-author of the article. 

The research leading to this publication was conducted by Ana Afonso during her doctoral studies as an FCT-funded Research Fellow at CITAB, having completed her European Doctorate in Chemical and Biological Engineering on October 31, 2024.
