Advanced Wine Analysis Technique - International Seminar
Margherita Modesti is the Invited Speaker
She
was born in Italy in 1992, earned a Master's degree in Agri-Food safety and
quality in 2017 at Department for Innovation in Biological, Agro-food and
Forest systems (DIBAF) of University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy) and obtained a
PhD in "Agrobiosciences" in 2021, at the Institute of life science of
School of Advanced Study Sant’Anna, Pisa.
Once
completed the PhD she held three years of postdoc position, first at Sant’Anna
school and then at DIBAF, where she is currently fixed-term researcher.
During
her carrier, she worked as a visiting scientist and lecturer in different
international institutes, such as Plumpton college wine department (UK), school
of wine and agriculture of the University of Adelaide (Australia), Department
of Agricultural Science Edaphology and Microbiology of the University of
Cordoba (Spain), and Universidade de
Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal).
Margherita has been involved in different
projects with researchers of CITAB members mainly focused on wine analysis through
non-destructive approaches. She is a lecturer for the courses in "food
technology" and "special wines".
Her
scientific activity (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2334-6437) is focused on non-destructive
technology for wine, olive oil and food analysis as well as food technology and
transformation mainly focusing of green technologies and novel food.
