Best PhD Thesis 2024 Award

We are extremely pleased to announce that Ana Cristina Oliveira Afonso (former CITAB Scholarship Researcher) has been awarded the prize for Best PhD Thesis 2024.

Her work is entitled "The role of aggregating bacterial strains in drinking water safety a contribution to understanding cell-cell interactions".

Prof. Maria José Saavedra, an Integrated Member of our Centre, was part of his supervision team.
