Zeolite, the magic rock also for chestnut

This study was supported by the stakeholders Ana Antunes S.A. and ServiRuri Ld. with the aim to analyse the effect of zeolites (Fertisol^®) on chestnut growth. Under the zeoponic conditions of this trial, chestnut increased their gas exchange rates, namely photosynthesis and transpiration more than 50%, suggesting that the aplication of zeolites during plantation (or alternatively in cultures already installed) could be highly recommended due to the positive effect on water retention.
