NEucBark - Novas Estratégias de Valorização de extractos de Eucalyptus spp.

NEucBark is a multidisciplinary research project involving distinct research subjects as chemical analysis, physical chemistry, in vitro human cell cultures, screening of antitumoral activities, and metabolomics. On a combined strategy between an expedited and innovated chemistry approach using ionic liquids methodology to enhance the water solubility and thus the bioavailability of either pure triterpenic acids, as well as Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus nitens bark extracts, we pretend to screen antitumoral activities assessing proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis, invasion and migration in human breast and colorectal carcinomas cell.
