HEARTchest: Co-creating Chestnut-Infused Olive Oil for Heart-Healthy & Gourmet Consumers

This
project aims to co-create a novel chestnut-infused olive oil, combining
high-quality Portuguese olive oil (Cordovil, local variety) with local chestnut
(Judia, local variety) from Trás-os-Montes. Through the
Consumer Engagement Labs methodology, the project will engage selected consumer
segments (e.g., gourmet food lovers and heart-health-conscious individuals) to
explore preferences, co-design product features, and foster innovation rooted
in tradition. The new product will be introduced to the market by the end of
June 2026, leveraging consumer insights for commercial success.
