REGENSMART - Soluções Inteligentes de agricultura regenerativa para a transição ecológica e digital da viticultura

UTAD/CITAB Coordinator: Lia-Tânia Rosa Dinis

Viticulture faces increasing challenges related to soil degradation, water scarcity, biodiversity loss and climate change, threatening its sustainability. Regenerative agriculture emerges as a promising solution, but its adoption is limited by the lack of scientific validation, technical support and protocols adapted to the different winemaking realities. In addition, natural solutions still have variable effectiveness in controlling pests and diseases. In this context, the combination of regenerative practices with smart farming technologies emerges as a strategy to increase the resilience and sustainability of viticultural systems. Artificial intelligence will play a key role in data analysis, decision support, and the development of personalized biological solutions through predictive models and machine learning.
